What is the difference between FreeSWITCH, FS Advantage,… | SignalWire

What is the difference between FreeSWITCH, FS Advantage, and FS Enterprise?

FreeSWITCH is the core technology and engine behind the SignalWire Platform. SignalWire was built by the same team who built the original FreeSWITCH open-source project.

FreeSWITCH Community Edition is the original FreeSWITCH available to any interested developer to build their own FreeSWITCH instance. This software is free to use for the community and is diligently maintained by the original developers. However, there is no official support or maintenance, and updates are slower to roll out. The community supports each other.

For unique, scalable, and more complex telecom configurations, we recommend FreeSWITCH Advantage (FSA). FSA is a contracted service for both the most up-to-date FreeSWITCH code base (FreeSWITCH Enterprise) as well as technical support on the development and testing of FreeSWITCH Functionality. If you would like to discuss an FSA Package, please contact sales@signalwire.com or use our contact us form here.

FS Enterprise is the software package and repo access to the FreeSWITCH code base with access to regular updates and maintenance patching.
