For the SignalWire REST API's project route, use [Update API token](/docs/apis/rest/project-tokens/update-token). The response contains the token's `id`, `name`, and `permissions` only. The token secret is returned once, by [Generate a new API Token](/docs/compatibility-api/rest/tokens/create-token), and cannot be retrieved afterwards. Updating a token does not rotate or reissue its secret. The existing secret keeps working after the update. #### Permissions The API token used to authenticate must have the following scope(s) enabled to make a successful request: _Management_. [Learn more about API scopes](/docs/platform/your-signalwire-api-space). Reference: https://signalwire.com/docs/compatibility-api/rest/tokens/update-token ## Authentication - `Authorization` header (basic auth, required) — SignalWire Basic Authentication using Project ID and API Token. The client sends HTTP requests with the Authorization header containing the word Basic followed by a space and a base64-encoded string of project_id:token. The project ID will be used as the username and the API token as the password. Example: ``` Authorization: Basic base64(project_id:token) ``` ## Request ### Path parameters - `AccountSid` (string, required) — The unique identifier for the project you want to use to authenticate this request. - `token_id` (string, required) — The unique identifier of the project API token. ### Body (application/json) This endpoint expects an UpdateTokenRequest. - `name` (string, optional) — The name representing the project API token. - `permissions` (list of string, optional) — The permissions you would like to enable for this project API token.
