It remains usable until you delete it or remove required permissions. Client applications should receive a service-specific Chat, PubSub, Room, or Subscriber Token instead. For the SignalWire REST API's project route, use [Create API token](/docs/apis/rest/project-tokens/create-token).The response is the only place the token secret is returned. No later request, including [Update an API Token](/docs/compatibility-api/rest/tokens/update-token), can read it back. If you lose it, delete the token and create a new one.#### PermissionsThe API token used to authenticate must have the following scope(s) enabled to make a successful request: *Management*.[Learn more about API scopes](/docs/platform/your-signalwire-api-space). Reference: https://signalwire.com/docs/compatibility-api/rest/tokens/create-token ## Authentication - `Authorization` header (basic auth, required) — SignalWire Basic Authentication using Project ID and API Token. The client sends HTTP requests with the Authorization header containing the word Basic followed by a space and a base64-encoded string of project_id:token. The project ID will be used as the username and the API token as the password. Example: ``` Authorization: Basic base64(project_id:token) ``` ## Request ### Path parameters - `AccountSid` (string, required) — The unique identifier for the project you want to use to authenticate this request. ### Body (application/x-www-form-urlencoded) This endpoint expects a CreateTokenRequest. - `name` (string, required) — The name representing the project API token. - `permissions` (list of string, required) — The permissions you would like to enable for this project API token.
