# stopTrack

> stopTrack function in the WebRTC namespace.

### stopTrack

* `Const` **stopTrack**(`track`): `void`

Stops a specified track. Similar to [`MediaStreamTrack.stop()`](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/MediaStreamTrack/stop), but also fires the `ended` event.

#### Parameters

**`track`** `MediaStreamTrack` — required

The media stream track to stop. See [MediaStreamTrack](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/MediaStreamTrack) for more details.
