# Reset conference token

POST https://%7BYour_Space_Name%7D.signalwire.com/api/video/conference_tokens/{id}/reset

Replaces a Video Conference access token identified by ID, invalidating the previous token. The role and permissions carry over, but the response contains a new token value and a new token ID, so update any stored reference to either. Use it when a guest or moderator credential has been exposed or should no longer grant access; this operation does not reset Room Tokens.

#### Permissions

The API token used to authenticate must have the following scope(s) enabled to make a successful request: _Video_.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (basic auth, required) — SignalWire Basic Authentication using Project ID and API Token. The client sends HTTP requests with the Authorization header containing the word Basic followed by a space and a base64-encoded string of project_id:token. The project ID will be used as the username and the API token as the password. Example: ``` Authorization: Basic base64(project_id:token) ```

### 200

Conference token response object.

- `id` (string, required) — Unique identifier for the conference token.
- `name` (string, required, nullable) — Name of the conference token.
- `token` (string, required) — Conference token's randomly generated sequence.
- `scopes` (list of string, required) — List of permissions.

## Errors

### 400 Bad Request Error

The request is invalid.

- `error` (enum, required)
  - Allowed values: `Bad Request`

### 401 Unauthorized Error

Access is unauthorized.

- `error` (enum, required)
  - Allowed values: `Unauthorized`

### 404 Not Found Error

The server cannot find the requested resource.

  - Allowed values: `Not Found`

### 500 Internal Server Error

An internal server error occurred.

- `error` (enum, required)
  - Allowed values: `Internal Server Error`
